program

  • Jazz guitarist Ferenc Snétberger is often inspired by the Roma traditions of his Hungarian home, by Brazilian music or by traditional Flamenco for his brilliant improvisations and as a trio he performs with Jósef Barcza Horváth (contrabass) and Toni Snétberger (drums).
  • The Norwegians Stein Urheim & Jørgen Træen are always more than happy to try out new things and with string instruments and electronics they create eclectic soundscapes evoking a multitude of musical worlds.
  • Matthias Loibner from Austria has given his symphonia a makeover and elicits unexpected sounds from the medieval instrument.
  • In 2013 Benedicte Maurseth was Potsdam's Hardanger Fiddle player, this time the lover of old instruments lets her passion for old and new, folk and jazz run free on a viola d'amore.
  • Tango is in Gabriel Rivano's blood. The Argentine's grandfather already played on his bandoneon with the legendary Gardel. His Tango Nuevo does far from end with Piazolla.
  • Julia Hülsmann, the "poet of German jazz" grooves with singer Anke Jochmaring and cello player Daniel Brandl.
  • THE VEGETABLE ORCHESTRA WIEN proves that vegetables are not just for eating serving an unforgettable veggie mix with instruments made from zucchinis, peppers and co featuring Free Jazz and House Beats.
  • Last but not least there is Melanie Goebel as the teller of fairy tales, Annette Paul as Madame Rose and Jeannette Niebelschutz as rose designer.

description

Everyone loves roses, including crown princess Victoria, who managed the Crown estate with her husband. She had the Lenné student Emil Sello model its redesigning on English farm gardens. The one thing she definitely wanted was a rose garden.

Visit the prophetic Madam Rose in her cabinet and find out the truth about sleeping beauty and above all: do look forward to plenty of jazz and world music happily defying all genre borders. The performances on the stages indoors and outdoors will go on all night.
