description

A garden is a permanent affair. While the trees keep growing it is annually rejuvenated with fresh greenery and blossoming flowers. Thus Il Giardino Armonico has been in full bloom for thirty years: the baroque specialists from Milan were referred to as "Harnoncourt's wildest children". Their vivacious and capriciously extrovert interpretations took audiences by storm and put them in the Champions League of international original sound ensembles. Conducted by its co-founder Giovanni Antonini, who also happens to be a brilliant flautist they take you on a stroll through their thirty-year old harmonic garden that featuring English and Italian rarities from renaissance and early baroque. Loving care has ensured they are in full bloom!
