description

The atmospheric open air concert features a story of creation set to music as well as an ode to fire and its revitalizing energy: with great voices and great baroque, classic and romantic orchestra pieces by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Sibelius. The elements forcefully entangle themselves from the dormant chaos and heaven, the moon and the stars are born from Sibelius' archaic sound worlds before mankind wonderingly enters the world. Prometheus gives them fire. Beethoven's symphonic spirit of fire and Mozart's soulful singing let humans soar to the stars. The world would be terribly dull without the fire of true enthusiasm. That is why a festival dedicated to the creative force of the elements simply must conclude with a declaration of love to fire, crowned with Handel's immortal fireworks music and with fireworks inspired by music at the very end!
