Dorothee Oberlinger and Edin Karamazov have long been fascinated by how in the Bach household music appeared, was created and found new forms as an extension to dialogues with friends, family and acquaintances. Especially since two illustrious representatives of their respective art – flautist Gabriel Buffardin and lutenist Silvius Leopold Weiss – were frequent visitors at the Bach residence. Apart from original recorder and lute pieces, the duo of friends has also »acquired« other music by Bach for their instruments: very much in the spirit of the master himself who after all is said to have enjoyed such creative treatments a lot.
