Back in Henry Purcell's day, the pub was the second living room of the British and the Alehouse was also a real musical hotspot. Three and a half centuries later, the party is back in full swing and you are invited to a crazy jam session with Celtic folk and folky baroque, with hearty shanties, heart-rending songs and wild dance tunes.
When in 2007, this virtuoso troupe from Norway set out to capture the lively musical world of 17th century London taverns, with like-minded Swedes and Brits, it soon became clear that a normal concert would not be enough. They had to give it all: play, sing, make everyone sing along, act, dance, improvise, perform slapstick ... and drink beer at the same time. Since then, their captivating stage show has been selling out houses all over the world. And as a »work in progress«, it is always good for a surprise. This time, the boys' evening will be blown up, as the fabulous Alehouse Boys have invited four girls to the German premiere of the latest version. And to dance, of course!
