Lunch concert Apollo’s Cabinet

Frederick II celebrates his 46th birthday - we are there! A celebration with musical gifts from the court chapel and other well-wishers, such as W.F. Bach, with dancing and playing and flute master Quantz as maître de plaisir.

Ella Bodeker
Teresa Wrann recorder
Sophia Prodanova violin
Harry Buckoke viola da gamba
Jonatan Bougt theorbo, baroque guitar
Thomas Pickering harpsichord, recorder, transverse flute
Daniel Watt percussion

The lunch concert series which features promising newcomers of early music, no longer is an insider tip. In its third year, you can once again look forward to a high level of musical skill and sophisticated ideas when four ensembles compete for the favour of the audience and the jury, chaired by Dorothee Oberlinger: The winner will be rewarded with the opportunity to perform a full concert at the Musikfestspiele 2025. Last year's winner, the Orpheus Ensemble Basel, can be enjoyed with a brand new program at the Raffaelsaal of the Orangerieschloss  Sanssouci on 21st of June. And the four new ensembles will once again be swarming out as music ambassadors into schools and daycare centers aus.

Enjoy about 60 minutes of music. Afterwards, Cafe Ricciotti offers a lunch dish from €9.50. Reservations must be made at least one week before the concert by calling +49 331 585 652 20.
