Several brothers born into the Venetian musician and instrument maker family Bassano emigrated to England in the early 16th century to seek their fortune at the court of Henry VIII. They came to stay. For generations the Bassanos oversaw wind instrument music in their new home. They were famous for their improvisation art – very much like the genius wind instrument group Il Giardino Armonico led by master flautist Giovanni Antonini who follow in their footsteps offering an entertaining musical survey of the Bassano Repertoire. Music migrating across Europe with ingenious cover versions of respective current »Hits«.
