Neues Palais von Sanssouci
Everyone loved the winners of the 2019 lunch concert competition with their choreographically staged concert. Their debut in the freshly restored Palace Theatre sees Europa Danzante find surprising means for translating baroque master Biber’s »rosary sonatas« into movement and dance – making the images of the passion of Christ reveal their timelessly human dimension.
An exciting music-dance-performance and award winning, French-Canadian composer Thierry Tidrow’s reflections about Biber’s Passacaglia musically move that piece into a contemporary realm as well.
