Fireworks of the light muse in front of the spectacular setting that is the colonnades at the New Palace dedicated to Jacques Offenbach! In 2019 the »Mozart of the Champs-Elysées« is celebrating his 200th birthday in the company of amusement seekers everywhere. Opera owes its most beautiful Muse character to the boy from Cologne who reinvented the Parisian operetta: she guides the poet Hoffmann from life’s impositions to the height of his art. She is not the only one – in fact unforgettable Vesselina brings many of the master’s capricious creations to vocal and physical life. Whilst charming conductor Marcus Bosch also hosts the evening – until Offenbach’s champagne fuelled Muses dance the cancan lit by fireworks.
