In Telemann’s »Funeral music of an art wise canary bird« the title’s brisk appellation is directed at death who, in the shape of a greedy tomcat, ate the little bird. Anna Willerding’s comedic zest turns the farewell into a tragicomic mini drama. And his burlesque Don Quixote suite sees Telemann’s musical humour in full bloom.
