To create music that touches people's hearts since it would carry the knowledge of how to express everything that moves people in their innermost beings: with this vision, Claudio Monteverdi unhinged the musical world of his time and opened up the horizon to the future. 350 years later, Astor Piazzolla broke the corset of tradition to open up new dimensions of expression for the tango. When they meet in this concert, past and future create a vibrant present time. Music and song full of fervor and tenderness, the sound of old and modern instruments, with William Sabatier's bandoneon in the middle: everything comes together as if it had always belonged together.
