The multinational ensemble from Basel already shone at its Purcell Lunch Concert 2023 with an almost choreographed performance. For this prizewinners' concert, they will be joined by a pair of dancers to bring the dance-like verve of Monteverdi's music and that of his contemporaries to the stage, not only audibly but also visibly. Monteverdi's expressive vocal pieces harmonize beautifully with the dance music of his illustrious colleagues in their concise rhythms and passionate virtuosity.
