Minnesang wasn’t men-only: female troubadours extolled their beloved as well. The great 14th century poet composer called »Monk of Salzburg« also celebrated worldly love. In their project about his work the duo Enßle-Lamprecht unites pieces by contemporary composer Hannes Kerschbaumer with singer Cordula Stepp and Medieval string instrument specialist Susanne Ansorg bringing Minnesang back to boisterous life.
Cordula Stepp, soprano
Anne Suse Enßle, recorders
Susanne Ansorg, vielles
Philipp Lamprecht, medieval percussion
Music by the monk of Salzburg, Beatriz de Dia, Bernart de Ventadorn & Hannes Kerschbaumer
