An homage to a great artist of early Italian baroque with music by Girolamo Frescobaldi, Giovanni Girolamo Kapsperger, Carlo Caproli, Jacopo Melani & Luigi Rossi
As singing and harpsichord playing double threat Lucia Coppa Rivani was causing a sensation in 17th century Florence. She triumphed both on the opera stage as well as at her patrons’ exclusive home concerts surrounded by experts and colleagues. Three contemporary admirers of her art revive a fascinating artist, her musical world and even show her musical teacher Girolamo Frescobaldi scattering flowers to honour her.
