Nikolaisaal Potsdam, which opened in August 2000 has become the capital city’s main venue for concerts and performances. The modern concert hall behind the baroque front seats 725 and boasts not only spectacular architectural designs but also excellent acoustics. The programme of Nikolaisaal is as stylistically open and as dynamically rich in contrast as is its architecture: classical music, pop and film soundtracks are performed along jazz, chamber music and dance. Top artists offer a mix of thrilling cross-overs and unusual program combinations.
