The palace's neo-Gothic style, considered at that time to be ultra-modern, was inspired by English examples. With its delicate, richly ornamented ceiling vault and the circumferential gallery on the upper floor the dance hall is a reminder of Gothic cathedrals and its high windows make it come across as airy, bright and gracious all at once. The wonderful palace park, where Prince Pückler's waterworks have been flowing again since summer 2016, very much deserves an exploratory stroll.
