With her knowledge, her worldview and her enormous creative power, Hildegard von Bingen sparked a light in the 12th century that has been shining until today. One of her oeuvre’s highlights is »Ordo Virtutum« in which her vision of a divine order is brought to stage using sound and action. The question of »how shall we live?« remains highly topical. Ars Choralis Coeln centre their production around the drama of the human soul that searches for the path to light and truth between challenge, temptation and doubt: a musical and visual approach to a world that seems farther away than it might actually be.
