ABBA on historical instruments? The Swedish pop icons united with the superstar of French Baroque? Even for the ever-experimental lautten compagney BERLIN, this was a daring coup! But it was a brilliant one, which recently earned them an OPUS Klassik award as ‘Ensemble of the Year 2025’. The common denominator: catchy melodies and irresistible rhythmic drive. Bo Wiget has skilfully arranged the ABBA hits for the baroque ensemble, with Asya Fateyeva's saxophone singing instead of Agnetha and Anni-Frid. Sometimes you ask yourself: is that ABBA or was that Rameau? Musical worlds merge inside the 15-metre-high volcano, where fast-paced live stunt shows also take place. Dance-crazy disco fans can then get into the party mood at JUERI's ABBA party.
