Sébastien Daucé trägt ein weißes Hemd mit langen Ärmeln und schwarze Hosen. Er steht vor einem dunklen Hintergrund und hebt die linke Hand, während die rechte Hand vor dem Bauch positioniert ist. Im Hintergrund sind unscharfe rote Stühle zu erkennen.

Sébastien Daucé, ist Dirigent und steht mit dem Rücken zur Kamera vor einem Ensemble aus Streichern, Bläsern und Sängern in einer Kirche mit barockem Altar im Hintergrund. Die Musiker tragen überwiegend schwarze Kleidung und spielen verschiedene Instrumente wie Violinen, Celli und eine Laute. Der Altar ist reich verziert mit goldenen Elementen, Säulen und einem zentralen Gemälde. Die Kirche hat hohe, helle Wände und große Fenster, die Tageslicht hereinlassen.

Blick auf ein Konzert in der Friedenskirche Potsdam mit klassizistischer Architektur. Im Vordergrund sitzen zahlreiche Zuhörer auf Stühlen. Im Mittelgrund stehen Musiker mit Streichinstrumenten und ein Chor, der sich halbkreisförmig vor dem Altar aufgestellt hat. Die Bühne ist von Säulen und Rundbögen eingerahmt, im Hintergrund sind Mosaike und ein großes Kreuz zu sehen. Die Beleuchtung ist warm und hebt die zentrale Szenerie hervor.

Louis XIV, who as a 17-year-old made an appearance as rising sun in »Ballet Royal de la Nuit«, would later rule the world stage as »sun king«. The immense power of culture, art and science was crystal clear to him, so he took charge of these matters. As a result, the Francophile Frederick II, apart from living at Sanssouci in the ubiquitous company of Apollo, God of Light and head of the muses, had a veritable role model of cultural politics whose standards to live up to. With an opulent programme spanning 100 years of history, the Ensemble Correspondances portrays the musical departure to a new age. And in his keynote lecture, Dominique Bourel sheds light on how the »Enlightenment« connects Potsdam and Paris.
