Like a comet, Ingeborg Bachmann appeared in the literary sky of postwar Germany and became a legend even in her lifetime. In her »Hommage à Maria Callas«, a work that is equally directed towards herself, it says that »she lived on a razorblade«. Bachmann was a master in the field of language, a field which according to her was limited by the world, perceived in pain and pleasure. On the great poet’s 100^th birthday, star actress Ursina Lardi from the Berlin Schaubühne expresses the brightness of this unique language – but not without music, to which Ingeborg Bachmann felt an intimate connection throughout her whole life.
