Ever since cities first were founded urbanites have been drawn to the countryside and vice versa. Hippies tried an alternative lifestyle in rural communes, Frederick William II and his Luise did so in their summer palace. Removed from the court they lived a middle-class family life and made Paretz a model village for that. Nowadays it is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the State of Brandenburg. Discover the palace and its precious interior as well as the royal stable with its carriages in small groups, walk along the grotto mountain with the newly renovated grotto and let exquisite music pamper you.
