Since Hippocrates the doctrine of the "quattuor humores" had been a pillar of medicine. According to it the four elements are active within humans by means of the four "liquids" blood, mucous plus yellow and black gall. If their interaction is disturbed a person gets sick or their emotions go crazy. The dominant "liquid" also determines a person's "prevailing mood". The Ars Nova, the refined music of the late Middle Ages, which was revived with a great variety of rhythms reflects the fourfold triad of liquids, elements and temperaments. Since its foundation in 2014 the ENSEMBLE SOLLAZZO has overwhelmed critics and audiences with new and sparkling interpretations. Melancholics are happy and cholerics become lamb-like.
