description

All in white with light blue. High windows overlooking the Heiliger See on three sides let a lot of light into the well-proportioned room. The Concert Hall inside the Marble palace welcomes you like a bright Apollo temple: a great place for paying homage to the muses. Mythological figures and creatures bid you welcome everywhere. They are on the decorative cornices, in the paintings on the ceiling, on the precious Wedgewood vases standing on the fireplaces and inspired by originals in Pompeii. They also served as a source for inspiration to the French harpsichord artists who wrote delightful character pieces the titles of which played with the listener's imagination and conjured up imaginary scenes. This music is virtuosic, refined, poetic and highly entertaining - French master harpsichordist Pierre Hantaï knows how to irresistibly unfold their charm.

Event is in the past.
